Shire Hall Historic Courthouse & Museum, Dorchester
The Shire Hall is Dorset’s newest museum and has opened its doors to much acclaim in the history and heritage sector. It has also quickly been established as a first class immersive visitor attraction with interactive displays that guide you through the cells and well preserved court room.
The current building has been the setting of much justice and injustice since its conception in 1797. The walls of the historic courthouse and cells are world famous for many notable trials including that of the Tolpuddle Martyrs in 1834.
We are currently engaged in our own research at Shire Hall which you can find out about here, as well as advisory work and the management of visiting paranormal event teams.
